How to make clips that get views (CapCut guide)
By the Korareel team · Updated
There's no secret trick to going viral, but there are habits that make a clip much more likely to be watched to the end, and the end is what the apps reward. Everything here can be done for free in CapCut on your phone.
1. The first two seconds decide everything
People scroll fast. If nothing grabs them straight away, they're gone. Start on the best moment: the punchline, the hook of the song, the shocking line. Then show the rest.
In CapCut, drag the best part to the start of the timeline, or trim everything before it. A good test: if the first frame were a photo, would you stop scrolling?
2. Captions on everything
Many people watch with the sound off, on buses, in class, at work. Use CapCut's Auto captions, then fix any wrong words, especially Pidgin and names. Make them big, high contrast, and keep them away from the bottom of the screen where the app's buttons sit.
3. Short, tight and looped
- Aim for 15–45 seconds. Cut every breath, pause and "umm".
- One idea per clip. If a video has five good moments, make five clips.
- End so it flows back to the start. A clip watched twice counts for a lot.
4. Sound
For brand campaigns, use the sound the campaign gives you, such as the artist's song. For your own clips, trending sounds help, but only if they fit the moment. Keep voices louder than the music, and check the sound on a cheap phone speaker before you post.
5. Post often and learn
Nobody knows which clip will take off, including you. Post regularly, look at which clips kept people watching longest, and do more of that. On pay-per-view campaigns like Korareel's, every clip has its own chance to earn, so more good clips means more chances. See how clipping works.

Questions people ask
How long should a TikTok or Reel be to get views?
Short clips of about 15–45 seconds with no pauses are usually watched to the end more often, which is what the apps reward. Longer works only if every second holds attention.
Is CapCut free?
Yes, CapCut's main editing tools, including auto captions, are free on Android and iPhone. Some effects and templates need a paid plan.
Can I go viral with no followers?
Yes. TikTok, Reels and Shorts show clips to people who don't follow you. A strong hook and captions matter more than your follower count.
